30. Internationales Filmfest
Vom 12.06. bis 19.06.19: Im äußersten Nordwesten an der Nordsee gelegen, gehört das Internationale Filmfest Emden-Norderney zu den bundesweit beachteten und international anerkannten Filmfestivals in Deutschland. Es ist in erster Linie ein großes Publikumsfestival für seine rund 24 000 Besucher. Darüber hinaus hat sich Emden in zunehmender Weise auch als ein viel beachteter Treffpunkt für zahlreiche Vertreter der deutschen und nordwesteuropäischen Filmbranche entwickelt.
Matjesfest 2019
Vom 30. bis 02.06.19 dreht sich in Emden wieder alles um kleine Fische, denn die Matjestage werden zum 29. Mal in der Seehafenstadt Emden gefeiert. Sie begründen sich auf eine über 450 Jahre lange Tradition der Emder Heringsfischerei. Diese sicherte vielen Familien ihr täglich Lohn und Brot. Im Jahre 1969 wurde die ostfriesische Heringsfischerei nach Bremerhaven verlagert. Aus diesem Grund entschlossen sich die Emder Stadtväter, mit dem Matjesfest an die alte Tradition zu erinnern.

Vom 09.08 bis 11.08.19: Ein Wochenende lang wird der Emder Stadtgarten zum Mekka für Feinschmecker. Köstlichkeiten der internationalen und regionalen Küche, Leckereien und vieles mehr werden bei Emden à la Carte kostengünstig angeboten. Gute Karten für Gourmets...
